Grandfather’s photo.
( Please do not use photography with cameras or iPhones during the play!( the stage manager was very firm on microphone before the high school play began. My grandson had a part of the play and while I felt guilty I pulled my iPhone and took the picture. I know the guilt is going away but the photo is going to be with me for ever.
It's a great shot but I wonder why no photography was allowed. Perhaps they just didn't want flash photography so they requested no photography at all.
There’s always one who disregards request from people who make requests like this stage manager did.
It’s called “screw you, I’ll do what I want”. Welcome to the world of a— holes.

Glad you bent the rules just a tad, it's a good shot and as you said it will be with you forever!

Flash,.... flash, flash,...
........flash.... flash.......
Distracting and annoying - not everyone turns their flash off.
Or it might be a matter of copyright.

Thank you, some grandfathers understand and the comments of others I ignore!
It is not only the picture taking that is disturbing but the holding up of a cellphone and the lighted screen visible and annoying to the people behind you . I found this also done during concerts even with prolonged video being taken . Shame on you.
We were at a concert featuring James Galway with the Spokane, WA symphony. It was a marvelous evening until Galway suddenly stopped in the middle of the performance, glared off to the right side of the audience, and demanded, "Would you please stop doing that! It is extremely distracting." The focus assist beam was shining in his face, the natural aim of the photographer. Needless to say, the photographer humbly apologized and stopped.
What was most amazing was that Galway then put flute to mouth and he and the entire orchestra resumed exactly where they had left off.

Well, broke but the sentiment remains....
I do appreciate that most might not be respectful of flash and your thoughts on copyrights.
