I am looking for a wide angle lens that can be used on camera Cannon T3i ........... Here's the hard part... I want to have one that I don't have to keep changing. I go from wanting a close up, a macro, a horizon, etc...... changing is pain in the tush ..... Is there anything out there that may work ??? thanks ..... P.S. I am not into a business of photography ....... I just want to use my camera as much as possible and find changing the lens a hassle based on my love for multiple types of pics in one shoot........

If I understand your question correctly, you want a lens that will provide shots throughout the gamut of focal lengths. Try the 18 - 200:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/ef_lens_lineup/ef_s_18_200mm_f_3_5_5_6_is

Thats a good lens but still not wide on his camera , the 18mm part is like a 27mm on a ff 35mm dlr. But i guess he can get a 10- 24 mm later . Or pay the big bucks now and find the equivelent of a 23-70 mm now , or 24-85mm or 24----- as high as you can.
Cheaper used at B & H Photo

I just meant, if she wants a wide angle, and a macro all in one, she's probably not going to get a true 1:1, no?

Thats cause she knows very little , its kind of obveious that wants to learn more , and she has read a bit but i doupt if she understands much of what she has read. You have to read between the lines. She knows enough that a bridge camera is only for person who doesent care what his pictures look like
And they are lacking the polished look of a decent camera and lens can give her .

get a short macro like 40mm or 60mm.

I dident say it hadto zoom .

I think a bridge is in order also. I shoot and really like my Fugifilm HS30EXR, as it has the one lens 35mm equivalent of 24mm-360mm and with digital X2=720mm. It's alot of camera for the money and pictures are excellent.
