I’m in the extreme minority when it comes to admiring the styling of the XKE - I don’t think it’s an attractive design at all. It lacks balance in the extreme in its shape and form.

Pretty car but I would not want one. They are way too expensive and probably not comfortable to drive.

We have owned 2 E-Types (new 1969 roadster and two-year old 1969 2+2). Expensive is true - both to buy and operate. But definitely not uncomfortable. The E-Type was a touring car, not really a sports car, and was great for trips of any length with a usable boot. Our current XK8 is similar with more amenities (AC, heated seat, power top, GPS, etc.).

Wanna buy mine? 1969 XKE Coupe, 4.2 liter straight 6, 4 speed. Will squeal rubber in three gears. Fits like a glove. A true pleasure to see and drive. Reasonable offers accepted. LOL

Many years ago, my cousin bought one and never gave me a ride in it! I haven't spoken to him since!!! Now I am still driving my MR2 Spyder that I bought new in 2000. I call it my therapy car, since I smile every time I drive it! Not that fast, only 1.8 liters and maybe 135 hp (not sure how many of those horse are still alive after 22 years), but very light and responsive!

Nice picture...As Enzo Ferrari said: the most beautiful car of the world! Regarding beauty of the design, I hesitate between this one and the 500K cabrio by Mercedes-Benz ('34-'38)

I disagree unless you are talking about the 2+2 with the back seat. I found that to be ungainly as they raised the roofline for headroom for the back seat passengers.

Always thought it looked like a duck.
