We continue our day trip as we approach the town of Vik before we turn the car around and head back to Reykjavik. The first few shots in this set are taken from the top of Dyrholaey promontory (a penninsula of higher elevation that juts out into the sea). Dyrholaey has an elevation of 390 feet.

I was in Keflavik and Reykjavik many years ago but just passing through with no time to explore. Thanks!

Some pics are kinda cloudy but way cool none the less. Iceland is one of the many places on my bucket list...

Thank you, rmorrison! It was kind of a hazy day with fog moving in and out yet it was sunny. The weather can be strange in Iceland. Some of the photos are really zoomed in. That's all of the excuses I can think of for now(LOL)!

I just noticed that none of the captions for each of my photos did not download!! What the hey????!!

The last picture is hazy because I had to wait for the fog to partially lift so I could even see the pillars.

Great set showing some awesome formations!! Be sure to save each caption as you finish for each image, it took me a while to get into the habit but that's the likely culprit.
