Nope. For my widest lens the custom front standard works just fine.

I did it with 3 on each row.
Didn't move the camera, lowered the rear standard.
This is a test only.

The "you" in that suggestion refered to the OP. But now that you mentioned it, just what is "custom" about your front standard ? Its an Arca, is it not ?
