You may still be able to edit, why not try it instead of bashing a innocent company.

When something goes wrong the most important thing you can do is post it on UHH. In fact, I think Admin should create a section for such notifications. The section could be called "The Crying Towel"

Thank you for your kind remarks.

I had a totally different experience yesterday with ADOBE. After the last OS system update, I had lost access to my photos. I could pull up the previews as usual, but when I tried to switch to the develop mode to work on them, I would get a File Not Found message. I tried troubleshooting myself for hours and could not get it straightened out.
Decided to contact Adobe and an agent immediately signed on with me. She had me show her what was happening and she then took control of my iMac. After just a few minutes she had everything back working again. The last OS update had changed the security permissions and was not allowing LR to access my external hard drive where my photos are stored. It had not occurred to me that was my issue and I hadn’t checked for it.
This is the second time I have had to contact Adobe for help and they have taken control of my computer and both times they have corrected my issue quickly and completely. My experience with Adobe is 100% satisfaction and am surprised you had any issues, hopefully it was an isolated issue.

Sometimes they're spot on, but more often, not so much.

Wow! Nikon's tech support is wonderful!!! Yesterday, it only took 9 agents to screw up my computer and not fix my problem. Not only were they extremely precise in not knowing, and not listening to me on how to fix said problem, but disconnecting when their stupid attempts failed! I tried to inform them that my machine was built in 2015, and did not have a gpu that could handle their latest and greatest versions. I told them my machine worked with earlier versions of PS and LR Classic. They did get Creative Cloud to finally load where I could install earlier versions that were needed.
What a group of Keystone Cops! Cost me a whole day.

Perhaps you need a new computer/laptop this way you will not be wasting your time. The choice is yours. Their technology is moving forward. You are not.

So Adobe support spent an entire day trying to help you run their software on your outdated, insufficient equipment. Sounds like pretty good customer service to me.

I think Nikon tech support is very good.

What does that have to do with Adobe?

It's always helpful to read or at least skim the entire post before participating.

Fellow Hoggers...I know I have an out of date computer!!! Give me a damn break! My wife has gone through 2 types of cancer (Surgery, radiation, and chemo) over the last three years, eats through a gastric tube, has a trachea tube to breathe, and I'm getting a total hip replacement 4/4/22! We live on Social Security! I don't have to justify my bitchin' with Amazon!!! Sometimes I need to blow off some steam.

Sorry for your plight but taking it out on Adobe(which keeps changing it's name from Nikon and now Amazon) is not fair to us. Most just made light of name confusion but most of the advice was well intended. We don't have a crystal ball to know the depth of each posters personal life. How about just pouring some cold water on this issue and let it blend into abyss. Good luck with your hip replacement.

You could call Adobe tech support but bring a pillow, a variety of snacks, turn on your tv to a long, long movie and settle in for a long winter's nap. Call Apple Support and they answer within minutes.

Great advice. I'll take it! My apologies to all.

I had the same problem and result. My Dell computer says "Intel inside" so I called Intel for help. Everything got screwed up.

And please remember -- after the surgery do the physical therapy religiously! It's the key to a successful outcome. Best of luck to you.
