I mentioned in a couple of my ram photo posts that a few had died most likely of pneumonia. This was the site of the first ram then the second died and the park service took that carcass to the first which was just down the road and left it for the predators. Later in the day after dumping the second ram they cut both the ram's heads off so nobody would take the horns. These photos were taken from at least 100 yards and with atmospheric conditions I was not able to get super sharp photos.

Beautiful series and great documentation, Beth. Nothing is wasted in nature.

These photos look very good to me! There is plenty of detail and the compositions are good. Even if they weren't your subject would have made them keepers! Well done.

Yellowstone in Lamar Valley at the confluence. We had hoped wolves would show up, but no such luck!

Unbelievable opportunity and a fine job!

We have many shots of the confluence at different seasons. Last May we hiked out of Wrecker to the confluence of the Lamar and Yellowstone Rivers. Not as picturesque as the Lamar and Soda Butte Creek!
