A great place to visit with lots of photo opportunities and not far from Yellowstone
Neat shots. Looks like the ghosts maintain the area quite well.

Thanks!

Very interesting spot! Is it a former site which used to be dedicated to shoot some cinematic scenery ?
Probably not much cinematic work there. I was shooting with my 4x5 and a ranger approached telling me I couldn’t take commercial photos. He was cool when I said it was for personal photography. It is the territorial capital of Montana. As a ghost town and state park they do the minimum to keep the buildings intact. Only a few can be entered. It is a wonderful place.

Thanks Clint, I suspect more can be done commercially, but only after a permit is rendered. Money has a way of allowing things :) As I said earlier in my comments, I saw that at least 7 movies had been filmed there, or filmed in part there in Bannack. I once ran into a similar situation at a park where we had planned shooting a family (for a fee, my wife and I do shoot professionally) and a ranger confronted us, and said it was not allowed without a permit. Just one more money making scheme, as if there already isn't enough.

appreciated Don, thanks, it was an interesting place to visit, and shoot!
Good pictures. The similarity to historically prominent Lincoln, New Mexico is remarkable.
I'll make it a point to visit Bannock. Thanks for the tip.
