Great shot, Jim, you make look so inviting, in reality it is not.

With three specific mountain ranges to triangulate your position from, it would almost be impossible to get lost in there. I'd just hate to have to walk out of there.

Beautiful!

And crazy!

To be standing in dry wind rippled sand, and be able to see snow capped mountains.

Another, stunningly wonderful shot Jim!! I sometimes try to find your shooting locales on a map, for curiosity sake. There will be a vacation to that area someday soon, I hope. I really don't like the crowded/overrun tourist laden areas. (of which there are many)
I am not so naΓ―ve to think I can go find all these spectacular places with a rental but, I am forever the optimist! We had plane tickets, lodging and all set up for last October as we have a few friends in Vegas and access to a free place just outside of Zion.
Alas, I wasn't able to make the trip and the wife just played in Vegas for the week. Flight credits in hand I'm hoping to make it happen this year.

Best I can say is if you do manage to get out this way, gimme a hollar a few days beforehand. I promise not to take you to Delicate Arch.
