Hi everyone. Looking for recommendations for on-line printing services. Have seen ads for Printique, Nations Photo and Mpix to name a few. Anyone familiar with them? Also, any advice when using these services would be welcome.
Thanks in advance. Scotty

I used Printique, former AdoramaPix. Great service. Get some smaller test shots (smaller 3x5 / 4x6) before operating a large-size print of an image, in case you need to adjust your image file / settings.

Go to all the sites and get on their mailing lists so you get periodic sales-pricing notifications.

I've used Nation's Photo for several years and have never been disappointed. Have usually printed up to 16x24".

Printique by Adorama, yes that Adorama. Consistently the top-rated lab in the USA, and one I have used for personal and professional work with 100% satisfaction for years. They can do it all, and superb quality at reasonable rates. This pro of over 47 years in the business highly recommends them.

All decent labs.

Really, how you prepare your files is more important than which lab you choose. Be sure you calibrate and profile a decent monitor and adjust your images to look great on that before sending them to a lab. I can't stress that enough, as an ex-lab guy. You don't want labs monkeying around with color. Do that yourself if you want the best results.

DO talk to whichever lab you choose, and get a good rapport going with their technicians. They will help you match your monitor to their printers.
