I like your composition, a good balance of color and black space. Nicely done.

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment

Very good - but I reckon it needs a 16x20.

Thanks Delderby. An 8x10 is all I can print at home and I don't like it enough to send it out for printing

I like the subject but my eye was immediately taken to the upper left corner of the image due to the brightness and fine detail in that area and then out of the frame. Maybe a vignette would help

I see what you mean. I'm still trying to learn this "artistic" stuff. I'm really a wildlife picture taker

My honest comment is, it dosen't appeal to me. Nice job though.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Different strokes for different folks.

I'd print it on metallic paper. The colors will really "pop".

The only person that has to like the image is you and anyone who has to live with it.
Personally, I find it too disconcerting.

Thanks, you are absolutely right. It is a little ... but I like it.

To me the background is too busy - it distracts from the flower.

I Luv It! - how about the attached version by Smart Edit - having read the previous? A 16"x16" square?
The download makes for easier viewing without scrolling.

Very nice, something to consider next time

I like it. It appears to me that a square print would eliminate the need to crop off part of what’s shown in the posted image.

It might work

By any chance, did you use Spektrel Art to produce your image?

Nope, Topaz Studio 2

You’re right, it sure might. On the small screen I looked at, the image appeared closer to a 1x1 ratio than a 4x5 ratio, but could certainly be wrong.

I love the colors, but the abstract pre-packaged effect (like so many other pre-packaged “effects”) is not a positive contributor to my appreciation of the image.

Best regards,
Dave

Thanks for commenting Dave. I understand what you are saying about pre-packaged. I used a combination of 3 pre-packaged filters each with a different intensity from Topaz Studio 2 and some gaussian blur from PS on the image. It was not just a "click and post" effort
