Pinckney Island in the morning - 2019

This is another post of some more of the birds I found waking up in April 2019 on Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge. I tried to use the early sun to catch them as they began to move about.

Nice shots. It's a shame that the hurricane a few years back flooded the main rookery with salt water. The vegetation around it hasn't been the same since. One of my very favorite places.

And you were very successful Mike! The second to last with the wingspread is strikingly beautiful, sir!

Thanks, Dave. We go out for two weeks every year and I always visit Pinckney.

Fine set and variety Mike. The shot of the Anhinga with the sun shining through the wings is so beautiful.
