I tend to agree a little about the actors left eye, but it is less of a distraction to me than the "candle flame" which actually is a stage light . If that could have been cloned out it would be an improvement. Other than that I really think you did an excellent job getting the photos with cooperation between you and the actor. As an amateur actor having been in several local community theatre productions and being a photographer taking some publicity photos, I can honestly say, great job and thank you for sharing the results.

My main interests in photography are landscapes and textures/patterns. Thus, when I was asked to shoot promotional photos for a one-man show based on the Biblical Book of Mark, I agreed. Mostly because there was a time constraint, and they hadn't gotten anyone to shoot advertising images.

When I arrived, I found that both my Flashpoint light and my Speedlight both were on the fritz. So, we had to make do with available light. Good thing it was on the stage where the show will be performed, and has a variety of stage lighting. I wasn't sure what was wanted, so the model/actor and I had to work together on poses, mood and staging. Not being adept at portrait photography, I am glad the subject was full of ideas and was photogenic.

After an hour and a half, I came away with 112 photos, and said I'd have some proofs available today. I put together 34 possibles, and he responded with the one he wanted to make into the show poster. Here then, for your consideration, is the proof.
