Fire or no fire I do not believe it is a very good picture.

It's been along time since I played with PS layers. I wanted to see if I could remember how to do it. It's took a while but it came back to me.

I cannot see why you want to include the chimenea - I would want to crop it out - see attached

Some would probably think so. I think they just need to get over it. This isn't photojournalism or forensics... It's a simple nature photo! Some artistic license is reasonable.

Well then! Here is another. BTW, no photoshop was used with photo!

Clearly no PS was needed!

I will end all discussion right now! What is not allowed on UHH is the horrible white balance in the 1st & 3rd photos and the over exposure in the 2nd one. Fix these issues and the re-post. No one gives a crap about the content.

Your friend,

Tom

We used to make enlargement photographs (16x20) for use in a court case. Except in a case like that... go for it!

No matter how you crop this one; in the immortal words of Ludwig Mies van de Rohe;

Chill people! The original RAW file was badly over exposed to begin with. I have taken hundreds of deer photos. This one is nothing special. I made a heroic attempt to save it with post processing.

Some of you folks seem to take yourself way too serious. Currently I'm half blind with cataracts. I'm amusing myself with PS and playing with fire.

Thank you for your approval. I had a feeling that I might have been cheating some how?

Before I saw you moved it I was thinking that the fire would also be a distraction. Now I see I was wrong. Also, Photoshop is in itself cheating! With Photoshop I have adapted my thinking because now I cheat all the time!

Keep cheating with PS!!!

I get it... playing with fire. LOL As in photo shopping in fire. When I was a kid I played alot too. We always cheated, esp. in cards.

Your right it looks better but it also draws the eye away from the fawn.

Years ago I took a photo of a fawn looking back at me at as I took it's photo out my window. I have always like this photo but thought how much better it would look if I had a fire burning in the chimenea. I have had many fires in the chimenea over the years but the deer never returned to pose the same way for me.

As I also have photos of fires burning in the chimenea, why not use PhotoShop to move the fire where it was needed?

Is this allowed?
