They look great in black and white, Mike.

Thanks, Ken, I do not do much B&W.

I am definitely a color man Mike, but I have to admit that the first shot converted into b&w looks pretty good to me!

In a recent post of photos from the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-724782-1.html), the first two shots showing moss covered trees received several favorable comments. TommyStrat suggested that I try them in black and white.

This set has the original shots and my B&W conversion.

I would be interested in both your comments and, if you are interested, how you would convert those shots into black and white.

Warm and cold. Interesting effect

I've got to dig out my shots of this road. I'll bet they look pretty much the same. What a beautiful place. Nice job Mike. I prefer the color shots. >i< Doc

Great work Mike
I think the B&W make them 100% more interesting and a little dramatic.

I prefer the first B&W over the second one. The second one has too much brightness in the foreground for me. JMHO.

I like both and both are very well done, IMO. But I'll admit that my eyes follow things more easily in the colour images.

While both color and b&w look good, I really like the b&w - adds an element of mystery to the shots. Nicely done.

Mike, very interesting photos! I like B&W, but find that the color photos are more appealing for the reasons given by sippyjug. That said, I downloaded the first image and converted it into B&W, but changed the white balance and increased the brightness considerably. Now, what I like may not be anyone else's cup of tea, but I believe that those changes make for a somewhat more appealing image and address some of the issues mentioned in the earlier post. Just my opinion.

If using as a background for a title of a horror movie, then B&W for sure. I really prefer the color. Nice post!
