In a recent post of photos from the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-724782-1.html), the first two shots showing moss covered trees received several favorable comments. TommyStrat suggested that I try them in black and white.

This set has the original shots and my B&W conversion.

I would be interested in both your comments and, if you are interested, how you would convert those shots into black and white.

They look friendlier in color.

UTMike, what a mystical place with the Spanish Moss draping the stately trees. I prefer the color versions for there are more separations in tones, textures, and colors to aid the eye around the image.

I like both. The black and whites stand out nicely.

Thanks, Gary, I am not very good at working in B&W.

Not a problem. I am not good at black and white either but I sure like then when they are done right.
