Bald Eagles

Noticed that the eagles are starting to gather at the compost site - so I just had to take the camera over and practice with the Nikkor 200-500 f/5.6E ED VR lens. All were shot hand held at 1/1250 sec f5.6 with the first shot at 200mm but the rest at 500mm.
I got a couple nice one's in flight but the highlights are blown...oh well....it's always a blast watching these guys.
If anyone has this lens ...can you tell me the difference between Normal and Sport Modes? When do you use which?

More than I've seen in one place! Sport is for things that are moving and for panning. Since I mostly use the lens for Wildlife, it stays there - can't recall using Normal, but that has never been my strong suit anyway! ;-)

There were more in other trees just couldn't get them all in one shot....counted 22 total. The great thing about this spot is that it's on my way to the grocery store....so very easy to get to.
Thanks for the info on the lens...I had it in normal mode but will change it over to Sport the next time I go out.
