I've been using after market inks for a while now with out any problems for my 3 year old Canon TS9020. My only complaint is the fade resistance. If left out in sun they seem fade rather quickly.

"DaveD65" is OK if it fades it saved you money and messed up your show peace which is the culmination of the expensive camera, lens, software and of your talent.

You want really good color printouts? Get a dye-sub printer. The prints are gorgeous, but pricey.
