Orion over The Watchman

I wanted to see if the R6 would perform in low light, and it didn't disappoint. Single exposure, 400mm f5.6, 1.5sec, ISO 51200
M42 or The Orion Nebula looks similar in size as the full Moon, however it is around 13 light years across and about 1600 light years away.
I can hardly wait to put the camera on a tracking mount so I can lower the ISO to 1600 and expose longer.

I appreciate all the encouragement from everyone. Yes we have pretty dark skies here by Zion National Park, however with these tall rock formations just out our back door, you have to wait awhile or pick just the right time to be able to image them.
