Indeed she had a great eye. Those are excellent images from a very nice camera but you and I know that without the skills no camera or professional lens will render the images that our eyes envisioned. I am sure that if I visit that place I will not do any better.
I only imagine all the memories these images bring to you.
Lauretta proved that kit lenses can be a cheap solution to photography and the quality is still there, just ask Sylvia our friend from the UK who is an expert when it comes to kit lenses. She also proved that a JPEG can also yield an excellent image and more so if manipulation in post is kept to a minimal.

Sorry for loss of Lauretta and these are as good as it ever gets......I had a D90 and loved it very much.
