Wow Ron these are superb photos of this pair of Blue Ringtail (Austrolestes annulosus) damselflies. Both are the same species with the male being in the first photo. What camera and lens were used? Well done!!!

Thanks Doc. Yep, Blue Ringtails...The male was taken with my D500 and Sigma 150mm macro and the female, same lens but using my D7200...both brilliant cameras...

A couple of Damsels from our garden...very rare around here, the only two I've ever seen in nearly eight years in the Village....
These images are fantastic!! Were they stacked? And if so, how in the world did you get these guys to pose that long? VERY nicely done!

Thanks gym, no stacking, I've never stacked a pic ever. I like get it right from the camera. These two were quite happy to sit for a long time and were even there after I went.
Cheers,
Ron.

Great pics, Ron. I have some decent photos of damsel flies but nothing that can equal these.

Great photo. Please let us know what equipment, speed, f/, tripod, hand held all that stuff. I'm really interested. Is this a cropped photo? I don't know how you got this so good.
Thanks in advance.
