When I found that my batch of watermelon was radioactive I dumped them into the local river just before the water intake. That is the story for this photo process.
The watermelon photo was modified by I do not recall to add spark to the photo, Topaz Glow I think. OK, but a so what photo, was enlivened by adding a water reflection, it gave an action-perception of the Mellons being dumped into the water, making the viewer ask why. The answer of course is that the odd effects from a previous play-round with the photo suggested they were glowing oddly, perhaps Radioactive. The base edit program was Paintshop Pro, 2021, I now have 2022 because of the addition of AI programs in the Ultra-edition... the sale price was too tempting. PSP is a one-time price for your life, not a monthly ransom.
The program I used was the old Flaming Pear flood plug-in. Flood original is free as are many plug-ins from the old section. Flood-2 upgrade is only $15.

Adding the water was effortless... well also the glow in the first used for the second rendition was a simple plug-in.
The image was with my Sony HX50 pocket compact when shopping at Walmart the Watermelons were in a big box.
Thank you for the kind words Wuligal I was very impressed with your fractal work especially:

Take a deep breath Redford, the Mellons were not really radioactive.
Flaming Pear has some other interesting plug-ins
