Do you mean processing or posting online? I occasionally post albums online for people to see. I use Google Photos for that, and it works fine.

I use Picasso to catalogue my pics. I can find all of the pics with my grandson or grand daughter or any vacation. Do any of the suggested software do this and will it pick up my catalogue from picasa or do I start again. 500,000 is a lot of pictures to categorize

I loved Picasa -- but, now it is gone. I have struggled with the Google alternate and it is a P.I.T.A.

Any good choices out there? I love having access on my phone to Google Photos, but am still looking.

I'm still using Picasa Viewer as my default picture viewing but not addicting, I use Photoshop El "old version 10", and Gimp. I am not doing photo for living but hobby only. I won't spend any more money for any new software and being hooked by those big company.

Affinity. Almost as good as photoshop. About 50 $ 1 time only. I got on sale for 30/ Maybe they will have discoiunts this holiday season. They often have a free 30 day trial. P.S--I use Faststone for quickies and Affinity for more sophisticated PP

I still use Picasa. Still works just fine and for most purposes is all I need.

I use PhotoScapeX. PhotoScapeX can be used accurately with 3 or 4 clicks or you can REALLY get into serious editing. Here are a couple of sites for you, Enjoy. Be sure to select Mac/or Windows. Get the free version (just below the "Pro" download) first (it never expires), and you can always upgrade. Also, please do yourself a favor and watch the following YouTube videos to see if you would be interested and for training. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWC-SAuYOzw&t=325s Instruction and download info http://x.photoscape.org/
Major Tip: Just to the left of the "Viewer Button" on the top left of the PhotoScapeX screen is an odd incomplete "Male Looking Symbol".
Click on that symbol and that exposes the "How to do it" on the PhotoScapeX features.

I am also a fan of Topaz AI Products. However, since you are a Picasa fan, I assume that you are after "Free" so I won't bore you with blah, blah, & blah, grin.

Best Wishes, and . . .

I second PhotoScape X. While I use C1 for my Sony, the free PhotoScape X is perfect for my Olympus TG-5. It is an excellent editor and easy to learn. Just remember to save your changes.

I still use Picasa every day. Good for initial cropping and fast loading previews. I occasionally use the vignette edit button, and it is better than the PS Elements vignette edit.

Is photoshop elements a freebie or a subscription. Don’t like subscribing to anything

Purchase an older version of Photoshop Elements on Ebay. Usually you can find them for less than $40 and you'll have it for as long as you need it. I started out with PSE 7 and then purchased PSE 10 as it had few more options and still use it today. It can be as easy to use as Picasa if you stick to basic editing or you can progress to some more powerful editing features if you wish.

All our computers run on Linux ( Mint Linux) so all software and the OS are free and open source. For photo editing I use RawTherapee, Darktable, Gimp and because I’m learning how to do deep sky astrophotography I use Siril to stack multiple images and do some basic editing after stacking. Many of the major Linux distrobutions include Gimp as part of their software bundle that loads with the OS. Almost any software you need can be loaded with the software manager, try it and if you don’t like it uninstall and find an alternative. Most of the photo softwares that come from Linux have Windows and Mac versions.

I still have it on my computer but use it rarely. I do like it for putting a © & signature on my images. Some of the b&w filters are nice too. I also have the NIK collection which I use more than anything. It's always nice to have several options for editing our photos.

Is Picasa truly gone because I had gotten a new computer and lost my Picasa but I have since downloaded it through an app and I love it for my downloading and basic editing of my photos and I use Elements 15 to do any final editing. I may be wrong about getting it back now but it can't hurt to check it out. Good Luck!

I lost it when I had to buy a new computer. Had to re-download it and I'm still using it. It's all I have ever used and all I want to use.
