Saturday the golden hour arrived with clouds over the Wasatch Front. The golden hour is very short because the setting sun is interdicted by the Oquirrh Mountains in the west and light is cut off long before the "official" golden hour expires.
I used a new viewpoint to get panos of my favorite landscape. This resulted in many different possibilities covering a time range. This set is some of the results. My wife believes that my panos are "too skinny," so I would be interested in your opinions. I have annotated the first three panos with her observations.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Mike, these are beautiful. Personally, I think the first three panos are too skinny. The width would be OK if they were taller.

Good set Mike. I like the last two most. Your wife is correct, in my opinion. The others are too short.

Beautiful panos as usual Mike! Wonderful light in all.
I tend to agree with your wife about going "too skinny" on the ratio and find my eyes most comfortable with your #4 and #5. The shape of the landscape dictates it too with a taller peak needing some sky and foreground room to breathe.
I look to you as the pano master!

I agree the first three are needing a bit more on the top. Not necessarily too wide but more sky, as she said, would help. Mt. Timpanogos is a fantastic shot, my winner in this set!
I like the light in the last shot, I would almost be tempted to pull back the shadows and black to make the foreground a silhouette and bring eyes to that sky. Just my opinions, as your panos are always enjoyable, Mike!

Outstanding, Mike. I have never done a pano. It's something I suppose I should try.
