It is so evident I’m surprised I didn’t get it and the Media hasn’t caught on. Trump’s interview with Levin tonight lit the lightbulb.

On his first day in Office Biden cancelled all the Trump EOs that had our energy economy booming. The resultant 100% increase in t***sportation fuel prices is visible to all of us in diesel prices. EVERYTHING we consume is t***sported. That surge has to be passed on to consumers.

The drivel about it not bring Biden’s fault is a smokescreen.

Fortunately t***sportation cost isn’t the entire cost basis of goods. The percentage varies based on product and distribution network. But the 100% plus in raise in fuel easily accounts for the inflation we see.

Yup, Biden caused the inflation. And now is working to increase it exponentially.

Diesel Prices

I recall the political smirk Biden wore as he signed EOs reversing the actions of Trump.

The political misfortune of Biden, however, has grown from multiple missteps, documented in the news media. His poll numbers have dropped dramatically. His sidekick Kamal has proved incapable, and she has even lower poll numbers, a slide also documented in the news media.

How low can the numbers go before the occupant of the White House effectively loses legitimacy to govern? Biden does not have an easy way out here. If he resigns, then Kamal automatically becomes President, per the 25th Amendment to to the U.S. Constitution. This outcome would equate to going from the frying pan into the fire.

Kamal could resign, falling on her sword. Biden would name her worthy successor. Then in turn Biden could resign, falling on his own sword. His successor would take office and name the Vice-President. This domino process could occur in weeks if not days.

This lawful political switcheroo under the Constitution might save the Democratic Party from a rout worse than the one presently in the making.

The nation would gain new leadership now when it needs it.

The worst possible case would be to lose both at the same time before 22 e******ns: Pelosi becomes president. Whatcha wanna bet that thought has crossed her mind?

Her poll numbers are possibly worse than Harris,

Maybe that is one of the 30,000 Trump lies. Did you ever think of that or are you too dim?

There are a lot of "ifs" here.

In the fall of 1974, in one of my advanced Poly Sci classes, we went through this same scenario. At the time, President Ford had already nominated the liberal Republican Nelson Rockefeller. We were required to forecast our picks just before the hearings ended. Since Rockefeller was a liberal, we figured it would be a dead nuts pick. We were correct. The House approved Rockefeller 287-128, the Senate 90-7.

Here, the process gets complicated, especially if Biden resigns before the 2022 mid-term e******ns. As it stands, with the Senate split 50-50, there will be no President Pro Tempore of the Senate if Harris assumes the Presidency. And with two "renegade" Democrats (Manchen, WV, and Sinema, AZ), there is the possibility that Harris couldn't get her pick for VP through Congress. The 25th Amendment states states that a Vice President is elected "who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority v**e of both Houses of Congress." The amendment doesn't specify an affirmative v**e in the aggregate. However, members of Congress do hold the party line when it comes to organizational issues.

If the scenario were to play out after the 2022 mid-terms, it's likely that Harris, would have to really compromise, since the House and Senate are likely to change hands.

As it stands, I believe that Biden will try to hold on until 2024, unless other parts of the 25th Amendment are brought into play.

Harris' chances of being nominated in 2024? Slim to none, and Slim's headed out of town.
