These are from my recent visit to West Virginia.

Photo #1 was taken in Thurmond. It was once a thriving train town during the heights of coal mining. It is now a near ghost town. The large structure shown held coal and sand for steam engines. The small yellow building was the town hall. There are other buildings still standing. It is worth a visit if you are in the area and enjoy history.

This is likely my final post on my visit. The last photo is another view of the Glade Creek Grist Mill. This often photographed spot has probably been taken by every conceivable angle, considering the number of photographers who go there.

Thank you again to everyone who viewed and commented on this series.

#3 is good with the cloud. I've driven over the bridge and didn't dare try to look down.

I like the bridge, seems to be floating in space. I wouldn't look down either.

They have a tour where you get to walk the catwalk underneath the bridge. I'm guessing your money is safe riding with you in your car.
