Ps and LrC run fine on my 2013 iMac, but I DID stick 16GB RAM and 2TB SSD in it in 2019. Unfortunately it cannot be upgraded to Big Sur (MacOS 11.6.1) or Monterey (MacOS 12.x), so I bought a new M1 MacBook Air. It is like a rocket compared to the iMac’s speed. Zero issues.
Unfortunately, computers are 5 to 7 year tools, at best. Buy cheap ones and they’ll p*ss you off in 2-3 years.
The waves of time wash away the sand castles of software and hardware. We can complain, or budget for it.
