If the issue continues, I would un-install Sharpen AI and re-install it. Sometimes an update doesn’t go as intended, but a re-installation usually corrects the issue.

Perhaps you didn't see my post that I got it working again after a reboot. I have no idea why the update failed and stalled the program. But now I'm up to date and reconnected with LR.

You may have delete the program and download a different copy of the version you paid for. That worked for me for a couple of times, then the same process again.

Sometimes software tells you to turn off everything else including virus protection before installation. Only time I tried I couldn't find how short of removing the virus programming, so I never do it, but it might account for some peoples problems, different anti-virals+different OS+different CPUs make for a lot potential variations.

Thanks for looking in. As it turns out, apparently the update stalled, locking up the program. A reboot of Windows (unintentional) actually fixed the issue and I was able to install the update.

Usually Sharpen simply starts the download/install process automatically and runs until finished. I have no clue why it stalled this time. I'm just glad I got it working again!

I use Topaz AI freestanding. This way there is no chance of creating possible problems when using as a plug in.

Thanks, RG. I tried that but didn't see where to "look for updates." I'll see if it's under "Help."

It is under help. When I open it as a plug-in and it says there are updates I usually just close the update screen and use the current version. Then I open up Topaz as standalone and install the update from the help menu.

As I stated, I did get it to open after a reboot. It's nerve-wracking when a program won't even open!!!!!

I found it when I actually got the program to open! And I found where to redo the plug-in to PS and LR.

When it was stalled, it wouldn't open!
