Mirrorless cameras through and through are miles ahead of DSLRs these days. That goes even for the most affordable mirrorless cameras. It’s night and day, truly...

We'll be watching for repetitions of that phrase.

I never ate a plain snail, but sauteed in garlic butter they taste just like garlic butter (if you use enough garlic butter).

I'll probably be eating some of those next summer when I go to France for vacation. I think the first time I has escargot was on a cruise ship. I saw a Rick Steves video where he bought some at a local store and was surprised how expensive they were. You can get the snails and shells separately or get them ready to roast with the filling already applied. My initial thought is to take my a99ii with a 24-105 f/4 lens and use CIZ if I need more length but I also have my older a77 with fewer MP. I guess someday I'll have to go mirrorless and get an adapter.

You can waste your time picking grapes or just enjoy the wine already created.

If you're impatient, you can eat the grapes
If you're patient you can drink the wine.

I’m totally happy with the gear I have.
Fortunate to say I have no GAS. haha

I have digital and film gear which does all I want it to do. I’m focussed on just enjoying and having fun with photography.

Quite the opposite, I am moving toward reducing excess gear so as to concentrate on core interests. Within a few months I plan to sell off the majority of my gear.

I switched to the lighter Nikon cameras in the 5000 series. Each one has a specific lens attached. I like it that way. Seldom need to change lenses because my favorites are already mounted. There is always something that attracts me to make a purchase, but I seldom do that. I'm just enjoying what I have. So many people purchase their way to failure. I've learned more about using my camera in the last 5 years, than all the other years. I purchased my first "pro" camera in 1971.
