I was always told that shooting during the middle of a sunny day was taboo. I decided to just do it and I am happy that I did. The colors this autumn in Colorado were brilliant. I used a Fuji X-T3 and the colors are fabulous.

I often shoot at midday because that's when I'm there! When traveling, one cannot always be somewhere at optimum time. And it occurs to me that probably most people see places at that time, so my pictures might better remind them of what they saw there. I think this image is lovely.

Thank you.. a lot of times the light seems so harsh but you are correct.. it sometimes is difficult to be there for sunrise or sunset.

This time of year, when the sun at noon is lower than, say, June, one often finds good light and shadows.

Very nice, I missed our CO colors this year. Even in mid day you can work with light and find beautiful compositions and color!

The colors this year were brilliant. Signs of a healthy monsoon season

I shoot whenever I'm at wherever I am.
Most times I don't get to pick and choose the hour, especially when traveling.

I hate to shoot at midday with no clouds. But I do it more than I should. Your image is quite good.

All rules have exceptions and I think your capture of these colors is a good reason, Kalina.
