In Harm's Way...
The elimination of the’Draft’ has led to a complete disconnect between our “leaders” / “policy makers” and the reality of military service and war. My opinion is, the draft added a personal element to decisions that may impact their family’s members as well as nameless others. It possibly even brought real life experience and understanding to their jobs as well.
I thought that the photo was inappropriate to the subject, & after reading y’all, I was right. Our military should be made up of warriors, not a p.c. experiment. As boys, most if not all, grew up fighting. Girls don’t. If women want to be warriors, they should be put to the test; at least 3 rounds in the ring against a man. If they like it, they can move on. In the Navy, women don’t belong onboard ships. Warships aren’t built for privacy, neither are foxholes. I remember reporting in at Alameda … the female OOD was curled up in a chair like a kitten, not the symbol of authority at all! That’s the way I see your photo. So if that was your purpose, you succeeded!
By the way, I happened to be watching the Duke’s movie of the same name when I happened to open this topic. Coincidence?🤔
I was in an engineer unit and there were some women engineers I wouldn't want to cross. Marine is a Marine. WM is a marine.
