Avery, there does seem to be a bit of hue saturation. I did a quick correction to the first one. This is the result. It's subtle but there.

Actually, the thumbnail of yours looks a tiny bit darker, and in the download there is more of a pink cast to the road - skin tone is a bit rosier as well. Monitors!
lesdmd,
I could use some direction here. I've never had to set the colors before. Never had a problem before now. I looked on the slideshow and couldn't find any settings for color. I checked lightroom as well, but don't know where to set color space. I'm having this problem on both my computers. I looked at color options in my system and couldn't find anything. Your suggestions would be helpful.

When you export a JPEG/TIFF from Lightroom you have an option in the export dialog to set the output color space. Set that color space to sRGB to minimize the problem you're seeing.
BebuLamar,
I did get something posted. I tried to post the picture as it came from my file and the picture from the slideshow, thinking it would show the difference. Alas, just sending the "good" image on Ugly Hedgehog repeated the problem. So you can't tell on the two images...because they both have the same tone. So the problem isn't just the slideshow. And I don't think it's a computer problem per se...as both of my computers are doing this. It has to be a setting somewhere that both computers have. I'm guessing...
BebuLamar,
It probably isn't the monitor...as both my computers are showing this tint.
quixdraw,
The image I originally started with had more reds and yellows...a better balanced image than the one you're seeing. They appear the same in your viewing because apparently it isn't a slideshow problem at all. When I download it anywhere--including Ugly Hedgehog--it seems to take on this tone. (But when I download an image on Facebook...it seems okay.) I thought when I originally sent this out this morning the original would show the difference.
Longshadow, your finding a reference to "ProPhoto RGB" was interesting. Wonder how I could trace that. I've checked the settings on both my computers and don't know where I can control color output. Guidance?
Ysarex,
Where can I go in my system to find the ICC profile? You wrote, "To minimize the problem (minimize the color shift you're seeing) first convert your prophoto tagged images to the sRGB color space before you upload them here or use them in your slideshow software." I'm a bit of a technot...and I could use some guidance here. Thank you.

Is your editor by "ProPhoto"? Like someone else mentioned a setting in the "Save/Save As" function setting in the editor? Sorry, I know not of ProPhoto anything.
Ysarex,
I'll give that a try. Thank you!!

You said you're using Lightroom. To get a final image (JPEG/TIFF) to publish/print out of LR you have to export that image. In the export dialog you'll find an option to set the color space. Set the color space to sRGB for your output images.
For slide shows- I use NCH Photo Stage- look them up. it's very good software.
On my screen, I don't detect a green shift. The image seems to lack shadow detail but it's in the file.
Chen out your monitor for calibration.

Dear fellow ugly hedgehogs...a postscript to a question I asked last week about slideshows. I was looking for an alternative to PhotoStage, which was giving my jpeg downloads a green-blue cast. I'm still waiting from the PS techies to see if they can figure out why. So...I downloaded Ashampoo yesterday and began processing a slideshow. I get that same green-blue cast there, too. This is with both my laptop and my desktop. So...I'm thinking the problem is on my end, but not necessarily a computer issue. This does not seem to be a problem other photographers have, since I don't see much about this kind of problem. I'm attaching two photographs to show the difference between the jpeg in my file and the one that appears in my slideshows.
Thank you for whatever suggestions you might have.

Lots of good suggestions here. Start with monitor calibration. Things shift and you should do this on some sort of regular schedule. Some of the posts confused me a little with the ProPhoto color profile showing up. I know I can't use that profile when sending files to my slideshow program. The files look terrible. I work on them in ProPhoto but export them to sRGB before dragging and dropping them in my slideshow program. Some here have gotten great color from your file which tells me it's not the file itself. Calibrate right now then move on to the next problem.
