It is a Selmer, made in about 1932 based on the serial number. It was part of a series they called the "Super Sax". Specifically, it is a model known as the "cigar cutter" because of a design on the octave key. I own a couple of these and they are still very good instruments after 90 years.

Thanks for all the info about this sax - my son-in-law, the owner of it could have told me, but it's nice to see so many of you who are knowledgeable about it. BTW - he has played it several times at our church and it has a very mellow sound. I'm looking forward to Sam being able to play it as well as his dad.
