I have been asleep for too long and my Dropbox and Google drive have changed. Way too slow to upload pictures to Dropbox. My Google drive is just not recognizable anymore and it too was way to slow uploading pictures.
Searching around it seems Flickr is rated very good if not the best free option. I wanted to bounce this off the gang here for some thoughts and comments from your experience.
Thank you all.
Bruce.

Flickr is very good (I use it) but there is a limit for free uploads. For unlimited uploads, there is a fee. I also think Smugmug is very good. However again there is a fee for unlimited uploads. Both have quite fast uploads in my experience. I am sure there are others.

Flickr is owned by Smugmug. I have a paid account on Smugmug, so I pruned my Flickr account to under the limit. For quick one-offs to share on web forums and the like, I use postimages.org, which is free (there is a paid option, so I'm not sure what the limitations on the free account are).

If you are an Amazon prime user, Amazon Photos gives you unlimited images which you can easily share with family and friends. Watch out as there is a small limit for free video storage.

Thank you Fred. I read about SmugMug buying out Flickr yesterday and I looked at both of them and I copied some pictures up to Flickr and I’m gonna work on setting it up today and see if I can set up a page where I can share stuff with some friends or anybody else. I’m going to look into post images also. This too sounds interesting. Thank you for the good feedback I appreciate it very much have a very good day sir. Oh and yes I looked at your Flickr site too very very very good excellent images.

Thank you for the reply. Are used to be a prime member but dropped it because I don’t use Amazon very much at all so it wasn’t worth the cost and I did read about their photo option. Thank you for sharing this with me this is why I asked the members here because you guys are the best and you’ve been there and done it.

I think you will find that upload speed is mostly related to your internet connection. If you have cable or another fast connection, any of the photo sharing programs will load fairly quickly. If, like me, you live where there is no fast connection available, your uploads will always be slow.
I just wait to upload for a time I’ll be away from the computer for a while - like bedtime - set the computer to go to work uploading, and I wander off for however long I like.

Yes so right Mike.
Where I am currently staying only have WIFI wireless so that is in-itself slow. The flickr site seems a bit faster and as you pointed out. This is what I do. I just start copying over stuff and let it go.
Thank yo for the feedback, it is appreciated.

First, make sure it isn't a slow internet connection or very large photos.

I use Smugmug for my photos. It has a powerful organizing system that allows for "virtual" copies of photos in multiple folders. Open to all, but others cannot download unless they purchase. Anyone can "screen copy" and paste, however.

On the other hand, Smugmug makes it easy to share photos on web sites/forums that disallow uploading images. You can even select the size of the photo (small, medium, large, etc.) and you'll get a direct link to it.

You can get a direct link from flickr also for that purpose.
