I just downloaded the latest version of ON1 and was playing around with sky replacement. It seems to work well. I added the sky with the clouds. What do you think?

The branches lose a little contrast in the replaced sky. I made a blink test with a small portion of your image. It's an animated GIF. One second frame rate. You have to download it to see the action. Look at the real fine branches at the top of the tree.

I also tried the Photoshop sky replacement and did a blink test of that one. Same problem with losing contrast in fine details with sky in background.

I suspect it's related to a problem I saw earlier where the sky reflection layer overlays the foreground.

To check whether the foreground layer in PS was creating the problem I generated a new blink test. Three layers: original, sky replaced, sky replaced with foreground layer turned off.

I think it's the perfect background for that photo because it looks like the same sky, but with clouds added.

Thanks, Jo. I tried to match the colors / shades in the original sky.
