One of these pictures was taken with a Canon 1DX with a 28-300 lens attached. One was taken with my cell phone. Without looking at the EXIF data, can you tell which is which? They received basically the same treatment in LR - contrast, clarity, sharpening, etc.

When comparing one camera to another the picture should be taken from the same spot and no post processing should be done in mho

Well, unfortunately, I wasn't thinking comparison when I took them. It occurred to me only after downloading them.

I had a hunch, and had to check the exif info to make sure. I was right, but I won’t spill the beans.

Thanks for not doing a reveal yet! I'll wait until tomorrow.

#1 Cell Phone would be my guess. I also agree with Tramsey.

I'm guessing the second one is from the phone. The first one looks like a good RAW photo unprocessed because it is overly contrasty. The second one looks like a jpeg out of a phone.

My guess is that #2 is the cell phone; the colors seem just a little duller than #1. Fun little experiment!

Actually, it's just the opposite!

Wow!

Guess there’s a reason I used my cell phone for 95% of my pics from my Hawaii trip in May…

I may find myself using mine more on images I probably won't print.

I very rarely print.

I shoot primarily to document our trips, I create daily journals using Spark page to send out to family/friends, then finish the trip with a Costco photo book for all of our traveling companions after we get home.

But, I found on that Hawaii trip there are some circumstances that require the longer reach of my 80-300 to get what I’m after, so I’ll still travel with my trusty Nikon.
