At least six passengers on the first Crystal Symphony cruise out of New York City since March of 2020 have tested positive for the v***s. All guests were required to show proof of v*****e to board the cruise.

The C***d-positive were t***sferred to quarantine hotels on Bermuda. The passengers and ship were then subjected to quarantine and retesting on the ship.

False positive test results can occur (as two of the moderators of The View found out).
Breakthrough cases can occur.
V******tion is protective but not a panacea.
No test, no treatment, is ever 100%.
Why masking and social distancing should not be dismissed.
Perhaps a cruise, where close contact with folks from outside one's "bubble" may occur, is not necessarily a good idea at this time.
People are not all the same and your mileage may vary.

Those false positive tests on The View were very convenient don't ya think? Just so happened they were on a day when our VPOTUS was to be interviewed. Everyone knows how well she does with those. The fewer people asking questions the better.

Breakthrough cases, why don't we give them a name that fits, like "These damn v*****es don't work"?

I'm double vaxed and I'm in no hurry to book a sea cruise or to turn in my mask or surrender my banjo.

Because that would be inaccurate.

Isn't a Breakthrough Case someone who gets the v***s even though they have been v******ted not to get it? Sounds accurate to me.

Yes, that is the definition of a breakthrough infection.
However, v*****e success is not limited to disease prevention, but also includes disease mitigation.

"There are very few v*****es that offer as high protection as the SARS-CoV-2 v*****es. After 8 months and delta dominance protection against hospitalization and death is nearly 100 times higher than no v*****e." (emphasis added)

I was at a David Bromberg show when he said "perfect pitch is when you throw an accordion in the dumpster, and it lands on the banjo".

Breakthrough v***s infections do occur but at a very low percentage, below 1% last I read. I also understand that individuals experiencing a breakthrough v***s infection have mild symptoms from it. The v*****e for the Chinese k**ler v***s moderates the effects of the breakthrough infection.

V******tion immunizes humans from v***s infection by marshalling the natural immune response ahead of time. This timing prevents a full-blown infection to occur.

I've yet to see a report counting the number of individuals who have died from a breakthrough infection.
