Your picture of a running waterway in the forest while hackneyed rises above for its composition and richness of color and lush foliage. The water surface looks just right.
One suggestion: Clone out that bright spot in the upper-left corner. It distracts.
Thanks for the very nice compliment and you're right, I should have cloned out that spot. I suffer from a "get it done and upload it" syndrome. Then I pause to take another look and almost always discover something I should have done. This was a two shot, hand held vertical panorama and I was totally focused on seeing if the two shots would blend together to the extent that you could not tell it was two shots. I was pleased but completely overlooked the bright spot.
Nicely done. Leading line with stream through the trees is perfect.
Thank you, G. Smith. I like leading lines to have a bit of diagonal to them but the only way I could get a clear shot of the stream was to stand on a foot bridge directly over it so it just worked out that way.
In response to your original premise; yes, it's a landscape. As far as fast or slow shutter for running water...it's a personal choice. I do both and couldn't care less if other people like it or not!

Yes - I don't go for milky water - but that is personal taste, rather than a choice, and I would not seek to influence others.
