Remember all those neigh sayers here in the attic who laughed and made fun of Ivermectin being used to treat C***D because is was used as a horse medicine? Well, the NIH, CDC, WHO and FDA have all recommended dexamethasone – a corticosteroid which has shown efficacy in the treatment of severe c***d. It’s also a commonly used drug to treat allergies in horses.

Who has been lying about dexamethasone? You do realize that is what this thread is about...not ivermectine...don't you?

Additionally, it has only been recommended for critically I'll patients on breathing support. and only for a short period of time.

Ivermectin is a drug used to treat worm infections. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid. Sometimes a corticosteroid is prescribed along with Ivermectin. It is prescribed to reduce inflammation caused by the death of the worms for which Ivermectin was prescribed. They are not the same drug; they are not even related.

C***D is not a worm. Taking a worm medicine for C***D is stupid. So is confusing Ivermectin and Dexamethasone.

Invermectin is used for more than just horse deworming. It is commonly used in humans, in fact, the federal government requires all immigrants from Africa and part of the middle east to take it when they come to the country.

All of the Afghanis that are being brought in are having to take it. It is used for multiple kinds of infections.

I said nothing about horses; it's used in humans for parasites, specifically river blindness and roundworm infection. So what kind of infections, other than parasites?

And requiring anti-parasite medication for immigrants from regions that are known for parasitic infections seems like a reasonable precaution to me.

A is for B. C is for B, but the action and use of A and B can not be logically linked to be equivalent.

If your horse has foot [hoof] problems, a new iron horseshoe nailed on may solve the horse's problem. If you have foot problems nailing a horseshoe onto your foot is not advised. Do not link the solution to the differing problems... illogical.
