Hardly “blindly taking media’s sensationalizing”, rather an up close and personal tragedy - she’s a peer and friend of my son (who is also a HS teacher) at a nearby HS in our county.

But remember that even if you help a single member see sense then it is worth it.
You have to accept that 10% of the population have this brain defect that stops them from rational thought but you should try and help those who might be wavering. I have every belief that there are UHH members included in that 10% as has been amply demonstrated by some of the replies. We could also debate whether the 10% is accurate but I'll leave it there at the moment.
This pandemic has really shown that the human race has a problem that previously had been masked by the relative normality of our existence.

Where I come from "bickern' and arguing" is considered an art form and free entertainment for everyone else.
And your rep goes up if you can switch sides at a moment's notice and keep going.
Way back in 11th grade I took a class on debate and my highest grades were in debates where I had to take the side I didn't believe in - the teacher said it was because I had to think and plan better to argue something I didn't believe. We drew to see what subject each pair of teams debated and then flipped a coin to decide who took what side.
Once I argued for "not requiring" driver's education (which I really believe in) and one of my arguments was "religion". There was a girl from a strict Amish family on the other team and she did a great job of being pro driver ed. Even though her strict family wouldn't even let her have roller skates, let along learn to drive a car etc. They weren't even real happy that she rode a district bus to school. But school was the law and they lived on a farm several miles out of town, so she rode the bus.

I know. Giving advice like this is similar to telling people not to close their eyes when crossing the street. Apparently, inhaling hydrogen peroxide has become a trend to cure Covid-19.
"Asthma group warns against social media trend of inhaling hydrogen peroxide to treat coronavirus"
3% Hydrogen Peroxide has been used as an antiseptic on wounds to prevent infection. Unfortunately, it is toxic to all living cells, not only bacteria. It is no longer recommended for use on wounds. It damages or kills skin cells, delays healing and increases the chance of scarring. Someone who inhales this could find themselves in a dire situation.

Maybe we might be better off without them ? I barely acknowledge facebook, do not believe 90% of our news, I do believe a few selected individuals on youtube, am probably not aware of most other forms of social media. So far I think I have a reasonably balanced view of what is happening around the world.

Over the last year and a half I have posted sources of information. I have found, after watching the originals, that to go back and rewatch AND to note the original source of the data for later use is pointless because NOBODY ever bothers to watch the same thing even amongst my own friends. People have such closed minds that personally there is no value to me in trying to change them. As a race about 80% of us cannot change our minds when conflicting evidence is produced (you try and have an argument about religion and see how far you get. And note in passing that the biggest single killer of populations is religion over the centuries followed by communism). This 80% is very evident in the US even more so. I comment on what I have seen, make up my own mind, and prefer to let nature take its course (its called survival of the fittest and those people unable to change their minds are not the fittest). I couldn't find any results on tests involving 'civid' but they are out there for 'covid'.

So you cannot site a reliable source, correct?

Did I say that ? I think I said I could but don't because nobody bothers to read them and I don't want to waste my time.
If you really want to bother and aren't just doing this to call me out I will do so after your next reply back. But I want a promise you will look so I am not wasting my time ! I want you to actually look with an open mind and not just dismiss it as yet another source of bs and misinformation. Which, of course it could be, but in this case it has a much greater probability of being correct as compared to the FB using hydrogen peroxide.
How can you be so sure it will cure covid ? It hasn't got FDA approval after multiple tests involving tens of millions of subjects and journal publication etc etc etc. Even the CDC wouldn't agree with you with so little data to go on (particularly with regards to covid).

Well maybe not them, but any being with at two brain cells that are acquainted will agree that this will cure or prevent Covid by removing the viruses from this plane of existence.
Testing is a bit expensive and might engender protests from many.
And as stated it has a few side effects that might be less than desirable to most people.

That would be the key point !

Well, I have at three brain cells that know each other and a forth that they exchange text messages with.
But none of them seem to know how to type very well anymore. I leave words out, put them in twice, misspell them and every so often I will type a word backwards for the sake of variety.
Ah, problem solved, my wife says two of those brain cells went on a cruise and aren't due back until Thanksgiving.

Right, but going door to door trying to find a willing partner could be a problem.
