The sky is why I reside where I've chosen to reside; the ways it interacts with the land, the ways it stages Greek tragedies one moment, then moments later take on different roles altogether, and morph into visual poems that rhyme the rhymes of Odes To Other Times. You could say I like it, but you'd be short by a thousand percent.

Nice catch of the rainbow.

You missed the point. There is no icing on pi. Nor pie either.
But I'll let it go considering the quality of your photo.
I'm assuming the woman wasn't carrying a Nikon?
No idea what sort of camera the woman was carrying, but it looked substantial, rather like a full frame Nikon. Had circumstances been different --the place we both had (I won't say 'illegally' but if the foo shiz then wear it) 'parked' for example (IT IS MY SPOT, dammit!), and, more to the point, the look she had on her face-- I might otherwise have struck up a conversation. Not about what sort of brands our respective cameras were, but instead to find out whether she wanted to feel how sharp my new 'Axe Murderer's Best' (having Amazon prime sure does help with those otherwise pricey shipping costs on heavy items!) axe truly was.
And as much as I really hate when I miss the point --a lopped off arm isn't really all that
bad, y'understand-- but having to take a second swing in instances like that often means the axe will need re-sharpening sooner rather than later.
And who sez there's no icing on pi? You?

I AM the official arbiter on such things. If it doesn't meet with my approval it doesn't happen.

Depended on where you were. Though clouds had been building, and appeared to be getting more threatening looking by the moment, during the several hours I was out, it only rained (fairly heavily, but only for about 5 minutes) where I'd been a few miles away, half an hour before shooting this pic. Looking around, it was easy to spot where rain was falling some miles off, while at the same time sun would break through clouds on the western horizon a few moments here and a few moments there. Perfect rainbow-making conditions.
