Two snakes fighting

Those are questions I can't answer. I posted two videos in this thread of snakes fighting that acted just like the snakes I saw. I read they will fight over females but I don't think any females would be ready to breed in September giving birth in February. I also read they breed in April and May. Perhaps it was over territory but I can't give a definite answer. In the one video the fight is between a cottonmouth and copperhead and I'm assuming that would not be over a female.
