Two snakes fighting

The image quality leaves a lot to be desired but it was difficult to attain focus with these cottonmouths continually moving. I had never seen this before and definitely wanted to document it. I'm glad they weren't fighting over which one would bite me.😬😬

Thanks Marg. After the fight one of the snakes crawled slowly up the rocks toward me. I let it get very close before I made my presence known hoping it would open its mouth as a warning but instead it darted under the rocks. At one time when it was stretched out with its tail close to me I was very tempted to touch it just to say I had touched a live cottonmouth but just couldn't pick up enough nerve.

Well I’m glad you couldn’t find your nerve to do that, Jerry. It would have been awesome (I suppose) but we would all miss you and your yard!!!
