That's a very pretty shawl Mav. xoxo

Thank you. It's very slow going. And it is about half the size of the last one.

They don’t even take current pictures anymore because they mail your new license to you so my photo is about 10 years old……how much since does that make?

At my last renewal I had to get a new picture. Unfortunately, it was when my face still had scabs on it from the shingles, so for the next 7 years, I have a scabby photo.

Very nice. That looks like warm, fluffy yarn.

Good morning sisters, 2 sunny days to get 3 cords of wood into the small shed before it pours, so will make hay while the sun shines. 3 more coming for the large shed, I'll have muscles like Popeye! Exercise is so good to keep the blues away and I sleep like a log. If I weren't so busy, I would be canning right now, making tomato salsa... but unfortunately I've had to given bucket loads of tomatoes away. No waste.
Wishing you all a happy Wednesday. oxoxoxo

Happy Wednesday.
You will be Popeye by the time both sheds are filled.
Sorry about the tomatoes. They would be welcome mid-winter.

Doesn’t matter how you knit Mav….your work is always, always beautiful. And you’re so fast. I hold my needles like pokers hahaha

Thank you.
The golden shawl was fast because I had a deadline and I worked only on that project because of the deadline.
No deadline on the current shawl, so I work a row or two on other projects when I get bored.
Hold 'em whatever way works and is comfortable for you.

What is it with those windshield wipers? How many times do they have to be repaired, before they are repaired?

Good morning from a 70F and hazy Aguila area. No plans for the day other than continuing to settle in. Still need to do the dusting, etc. Didn't get to it yesterday because we were busy washing the Jeep. Need to get that job finished up today. I hope you all are having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

Hello to you in Aguila. I'm assuming that the Jeep is back in working condition now.
I hope you are staying properly air conditioned.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:42 am EDT and 9'C (48'F) going up to 22'c (72'F). We did not get the heat and humidity that was forecast yesterday. I was overcast and cool for most of the day. It should be nice for knitting in the parking lot.
Our dishwasher is broken. It won't turn on. I suspect it will need a new control board, because that is the most expensive part. Our warranty covers parts but not labour. And I am pretty sure it will require 2 trips by the repair man, 1 to diagnose and 1 to insert the part once it arrives. Until then it is back to handwashing. DD doesn't like hot water, mum can't see the food particles, and I can't stand the smell of the sponge (I want a new one with every use.) Can't understand why we need the dishwasher!!!
Our new covid number is 593 with 5 deaths. Positivity is 2.5% There are 5 new cases in this area, 1 in my brother's area and 6 in the area of his cottage. None of those cases have been serious enough to be admitted to hospital. Positivity in this area is 1.96%
This province vaccinated 36K people yesterday. Toronto is pushing to try to get their vaccination rate to 90%.
I'm not happy with the next section of the shawl, and especially not happy with the long floats on the back. I'm going to frog that section and redo it capturing the floats. (Whoever heard of long floats on a shawl?)
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is... (show quote)

It's going to be lovely! xxxooo

Thank you. I hope so. This one involves a lot of cutting of yarn so if I ever frogged it, I'd have a bunch of short pieces.

Oh no, how very sad! Did they shoot them to eat or just for target practice?!!!

Around here, they will be eaten. Just sad that the flock was able to raise all their babies only to be wiped out while teaching them to fly. If they had stayed downtown, they would have survived.
