Updated today (8/19/2021) and can not start up. Gets halfway there then stops.

My wife, with separate account, has other problems with the update. She reversed to the earlier version and that works. I'll do the same Friday.

All working well here. Uninstall and then reinstall.

What problems, specifically?

If you haven't asked Adobe support for help, do that. They have fixed any problems I have had.

The update was fine. PS seemed to be running normally. However, it will not do a sky swap. Other than that, I haven't found any other areas where it's lacking. Hope they fix that in the next release. It's not a huge problem as I usually use Luminar AI for the sky swaps. Dell XPS8940 128GB Ram, 6TB, Windows 10 Pro.

I updated Photoshop to version 22.5, Lightroom Classic to version 10.4, and Camera Raw to version 13.4 two days ago. They all work without any problems. I'll try Sky Replacement when I have time.

The problem is on your end. Updates work fine. Why blame adobe?

No problems with the current updates.

You might describe your problems so that someone here on UHH, who's possibly had that problem before, can help you fix it. Another option is to call adobe customer care. They will help you until the problem is fixed.

My experience with LR/PS is, that in more than 99% of all problems, has been operator (me) error.

I turn it on, not operator error.. Part of the basic screen appears and 1 hour later nothing more has occurred: No tools, no layers, just a little spinning wheel.

Real photographers do not use Photoshop.

What is your definition of a "real photographer"? Many highly successful professional photographers use Photoshop. Tell them they are not "real photographers".

A real photographer creates the scene, the atmosphere, the necessary light for his photo. He creates, he does not artificially use a computer to produce faux imagery.

I choose to be a photographer, not a computer operator.
