It's easy, on my 8+, I just hold down the shutter button. You can hear the camera taking many photos.

I'll try that. There are no instructions with this phone. And it was pretty cheap. But we'll see what happens!

This pic is really nice!

Sometimes I use the volume up/down control on my tethered headphones as a remote shutter release.

That's interesting! And thanks.

Nice! I feel the same way with my phone.

Thanks. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Now my 1DX with a 28-300 mounted, I can hold steady as a rock! Usually.

Wow! That turned out very well. Looks like shaky hands settled down for you there. By the way, even with a Samsung cellphone you can get a burst of images by just holding down the shutter button. Thanks for sharing that Joshua Tree.

Something I do with my iPhone 11 (and I’m guessing it’s the same with the Samsung) is to hold the phone in the horizontal position and press the volume up button on the side of the phone. That way you can use both hands to hold the phone. At least on the iPhone that button serves as an alternate shutter release.

Interesting. That has been mentioned before. I was totally unaware of that possibility. I'll check it out. Thanks so much for the WOW! It was a beautiful tree. I'll try the burst.

Nice image. The colors work so well together and the shadow makes it even more special!

Thanks, Jo. The first few I took lacked the depth of shadow I found here.

I'm really TERRIBLE at shooting with my cell phone. I simply cannot hold it still while I push the button. So, unless I have something to set it on and against, they always turn out blurry. Recently I was driving down 93 north of Vegas through the Joshua Tree forest (the Nevada one). They are a bit different from our Arizona ones. Anyway, I had my phone handy, so that's what I grabbed to get this image. I'll admit running it through LR for some basic work, then through Topaz Sharpen.

With my phone there are several ways to release the shutter. Tapping the screen is one that works better for me than pushing the button. Pushing the button often moves the "camera" enough to get blue. Also, with my phone, there is a slight delay so I have to be sure I don't move away too fast. It's a short delay, but I'm old and slow.

Your pic is good. I don't use Lightroom, but the white fringe around the mountain needs removed. Normally this is easily done with the clone stamp tool and set the blend mode to darken. Select the mountain to clone stamp, and it will only darken the white fringe outlining the mountain.

I'll look into alternative ways to trip the shutter. Sorry about the fringe. This isn't an image I intend to sell, so it got minimal treatment. The fringe is likely the result of the "clarity" action in LR.
