My dream camera is a Fujifilm medium format camera with a medium format macro lens...Oh Baby, Oh Baby...!!

If you get one you may not enjoy it as much as you think. I had a medium format SLR with a macrolens. It worked well for copying old photographs. Some of the prints were close to to the size of the negatives. The camera was was OK for flowers too. I also have used a 4 x 5in view camera for macro work. Not so bad for something 4 x 5 in thanks to swings and tilts but bugs or small flowers would be a nightmare.

Realize that you will have to use higher magnifications with lower depth of field and a greater reduction of light. For these reasons I really enjoy using my Olympus cameras for macro even when there are other options. The Olympus makes life just a bit better. 80 MP for still objects isn't bad either.

Detailed landscapes are, however, quite another matter.

Sorry I didn’t mean to criticize. I thought they were in similar price range if you got z6+FTZ vs z5 + lens.

The D750 has an excellent sensor system.

Q: What does moire have to do with color noise?

Perhaps my understanding of both aren't Olympic quality.

If you get one you may not enjoy it as much as you... (show quote)

New....Succeed....???

You have not succeed yet. (I hope this was someone else's quote) If I am wrong....

"THEN ALL THE GREAT MASTERS OF HISTORY...HAVE NOT SUCCEED"!!!

No insult meant, just an amendment to this quote.

Thanks,
Boone.

If you don't meet luck halfway, your shopping cart will never contain a new camera.

Its not about the camera, its the person behind the shutter

Perhaps I am just dense, but I don't understand what wanting a new camera has to do with the desire to succeed?

You have to understand CHG_CANON. He's a legend in his own mind.

A good portion of what he posts should end with ...

However, if you can separate the wheat from the chaff you will find some pearls of wisdom.

I've been watching camera reviews and comparisons on YouTube, and I have to be careful. The new cameras sound so good! I especially like comparisons because they point out specific differences between two cameras. So far, I have resisted the urge to buy anything. I still use my D750, Sony a6000, and Fuji X-T30. So far, so good. Unless I find a good excuse to buy something new, I think I'll be safe.

Jerry, you have some fine cameras but you need to add a FF mirrorless! The Z6ii would do nicely! None of the cameras has one feature you would enjoy and seeing how you like to tinker, it would serve you well -- auto focus-stacking!

Jerry, it is very possible that I am older than you are if you are below 85. I use a D7000, a D610 and the Olympus EM-1 (original) that is already near to 12 years old. I have a decent assortment of lenses for those cameras. I do not feel that I am missing something.
They fit my needs and that is all I expect from my gear. The decision to buy is yours if you do not feel comfortable with what you have.

Excellent. I use what I have and have enough to not miss anything. I don’t need any more gear (at this point). I am gasless!!

It matters not so much where your luck comes from, but that it is delivered by a brown truck.

I read comparisions all the time and always trying to resist the urge to buy something new!

Couldn’t agree more. My heirs can figure out what to do with the Jaguar roadster after I’m gone. Maybe I’ll buy a coupe and compound the issue. I already have a full-frame, crop-frame, mirror less and super zoom - there must be something I’m lacking?
