Yes, it did, and a very nice picture. Just one small nit to pick: your stitching software missed the mark - 1/3 of the way in from the right, a disconnect (see the barbed wires). But I like the picture!

It is a very nice image. The road immediately attracts attention because it is so close to the left border of the image that the eye looks at it first. As the eye moves to the right eventually meets the barn so yes, you achieved your goal.
There are different successful ways to crop this image as my eye sees it but that was not the purpose of your photograph.
I believe it was the 49ers that had a play. ( the lonely end) where they would split a receiver way out to one side & run the play in the other direction. The receiver would wander down unnoticed & wide open. You just scored a touchdown with this shot!
Interesting shot. Crop out the road and it is a nice shot of a barn, add that little edge with the road and it is all about where the road leads and the barn almost disappears.
I think the photograph met your plan. Nicely done.

You achieved it, a very nice composition!

I would print this if it were mine!!! Very good shot, taken by a photographer with a "GOOD EYE" as well!
Thanks,
Boone.
Right on. You captured it just like you were thinking. I like it.
Thank you all for each comment and post... I certainly appreciate the insight I gain from each different perspective and impression of my image. Helps me to become more aware of elements I might otherwise overlook or minimize...
I like the leading lines of the road and the fence into the fog. Then there is the lonely barn. I like it. It speaks

Yes, it works for me. Nice picture.

Yep! Just like you figured, Tommy!
Good eye and well captured!

It's a very nice image but there are approaches that may have made a stronger image. My first inclination would be to stand on the left side of the road an shoot across the road toward the barn. Would make the road and the fence a diagonal line instead of a straight line down the left. Might also move the barn more toward the center and a stronger part of the image. Only way to find out though would be to try it. A second simpler solution to get the barn more in the image would be to move it with photoshop in post processing but that may not be your cup of tea. Just my opinion, then again, everyone has great ideas that won't work.
