I agree as I'm left to do the same thing. often this means having to get to a location at a specific time in order to hopefully get at least one shot. 9 out of 10, I'd walk away without the shot. Most of my shots are lucky shots and nothing more I'm sure if I stay longer in these location I would have noticed more. But it any shot worth the effort of getting after you look at it later. I'm very tempted to just delete the images, but the wife would say otherwise.

I often shoot, photographs, with a retired professional photographer. We have been friends since the 70’s. I have learn lot from over the years. But one thing I notice about him is sometimes he just looks at the lighting and says, we won’t get anything from this position. He doesn’t take a picture. I do. Not often but sometimes, just sometimes, he will compliment me on the picture and say he didn’t think the light was right. I respect him and his abilities a great deal. But as somewhat of a perfectionist photographer he has high standards. I try to but if it means a pretty good photo or no photo I will take the shot. I have nothing to lose but maybe 1/125th of a second. I can spare that. If I delete the photo I can spare that too.

Thanks for your comments.
