As some of you may know I am always on a quest for good black and white photographs. While I have taken a few that are wall worthy most of them are just sort of blah, lacking the proper tones of black and white, muddy looking over all and so on.

Today I am submitting a photograph of a bench I saw up at Cold Spring Tavern above Santa Barbara, CA. Please give me your honest opinion of the photograph, what I can do to make it or any black and white better, and so on.

Dennis, I think your image has a great tonal range in Black and White

Great picture, Dennis. The b+w tonal ranges seem spot on.

What a beautiful B & W. I don't do much with B & W but this one is excellent! Looks like a wonderful spot to take a load off and relax. Thanks for posting and do more of this type when you can. BE SAFE!

I am not usually drawn to B&W photos but this presentation is excellent. It really works with this very cool bench.

Frank I just went back through the photos of general shots from in front of buildings to show you, and me, where the bench was located in the general scheme of things in the area. Of course I did not see it from the frontal view. That means it was located between buildings and not easily seen. I invite you to drive on down here sometime and we can go up and take a look and take some photos too.
